The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala organized its First Annual Festival<\/strong> under the slogan: “The Centrality of Affection for the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) Across Islamic Schools of Thought \u2013 Al-Azhar Al-Sharif\u2019s Discourse as a Model,”<\/strong> with the attendance of a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and scholars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival featured several scientific and intellectual themes addressing the status of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT)<\/strong> in various Islamic schools of thought. It focused on highlighting the shared commonalities among Muslims and the role of moderate religious discourse in promoting Islamic unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event shed light on the experience of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif<\/strong> as a model of moderate (Wasati) discourse that emphasizes affection for the Ahl al-Bayt and works to consolidate the values of coexistence and rapprochement between different schools of thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants emphasized the importance of utilizing religious discourse to spread a culture of love and mutual respect, contributing to countering divisive rhetoric and strengthening a unified Islamic identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This festival is part of the College of Islamic Sciences’ efforts to enhance scientific dialogue and establish shared values among Islamic schools of thought, serving the unity of Islamic society and addressing contemporary intellectual challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
