Within the framework of the Protection and Prevention Pillar \/ Second Axis, the College organized an educational scientific seminar titled \u201cThe Role of Islamic Sciences in Enhancing the Values of Tolerance and Social Peace,\u201d presented by the liaison member Ms. Bashaer Sabah Hadi, in the presence of a number of faculty members and students of the college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar addressed three main topics:
The first topic dealt with the concepts of values, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence from both linguistic and terminological perspectives.
The second topic focused on the etiquette of dialogue, highlighting the importance of avoiding fanaticism, using good language, humility, attentive listening, and relying on sound arguments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third topic discussed the importance of tolerance in Islamic law, citing noble Quranic verses, including:
\u201c[So] pardon with gracious pardon\u201d (Quran 15:85), and
\u201cLet them pardon and overlook. Do you not wish that Allah should forgive you?\u201d (Quran 24:22),
emphasizing that these principles reinforce security and peace in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar concluded with several important outcomes, the most prominent being:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Tolerance is an essential characteristic of Islam and one of the principles established by Islamic law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Islam laid the foundations for peace and coexistence, and its approach is based on mercy and gentleness, not violence or harshness.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The seminar also produced a number of recommendations, including:
    \u2022 Focusing on the psychological and personal benefits resulting from tolerance.
    \u2022 Considering tolerance as a gift to the self to rid it of negative feelings.
    \u2022 Self-reflection and examining feelings of anger to identify their true causes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The seminar witnessed notable interaction from the attending students, who showed clear interest in its content and raised a number of questions related to the challenges of tolerance in contemporary reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
