A teacher from the College of Islamic Sciences participated in the Digital Media Education

The Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Shalal Mutaib participated in the first Iraqi scientific forum for digital media education, which was held by the Iraqi Public Relations Association (IPRA) on 9-10 September 2020, that was titled (Digital Media Education is a Societal Necessity), with the participation of a number of government universities, private and local universities, has received a certificate of participation from the Supreme Council of Academic Societies / Iraqi Public Relations Association (IBRA) for its active contribution in presenting a research paper on the importance of digital media education in light of the new media.

He referred to the importance and need for digital media education in light of technological development and in light of the new media reality and the increasing crises and calamities, adding that it is necessary to spread the culture of communication in society so that the learner becomes positive, participates and interacts with a media awareness without resorting to tensions and conflicts, and the most prominent recommendations that came out were In it the research paper is the necessity of introducing digital media education within the educational curricula, as it is necessary for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Education to add this subject within the curricula and link it to the curricula that support individual behaviors and national belonging.

It is worth noting that the Iraqi Public Relations Association / Ibra is a scientific association established under the Law of Scientific Societies No. (55) 1981, by Ministerial Order 1604 on 4/22/2018, issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Research and Development.
