The College of Islamic Sciences seeks a comprehensive work in electronic archiving

The Deanship of the College of Islamic Sciences, Karbala University, held a meeting chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Dergham Al-Mousawi, with the E-Learning Unit and the professors of the three departments of the College concerned with this. On Sunday, 11/15/2020 The meeting came from the college’s desire to organize its data in an automated way, which saves a lot of time and effort and ensures that it preserves this data, through an integrated system that handles all processes related to data handling automatically, such as indexing, archiving, summarizing, searching and retrieval.

On his part, the Dean of the College asserted that it is necessary to follow modern scientific methods and make use of them in archival control of documents to increase their effectiveness. The ease of entering student data and ensuring that a program has the ability to give students documents with grades.

He explained that this would also provide ease of information exchange between archive users, regardless of their size, in a way that ensures the smooth flow of work within the system so that documents move through the work stages smoothly. He indicated the need to maintain the complete confidentiality of the data so that only the authorized person sees it, and to secure the data against any potential risks of regular archiving. He added that through this, university performance will be developed and the college’s level of university ranking will be raised.

The Dean also listened to the presentations of the attendees, and the door was opened for discussion, to present sound visions that achieve the desired goals. At the end of the meeting, the Dean offered his thanks and gratitude to all the faculty members, wishing them success in their work.
