The College of Islamic Sciences discusses the methodological rules for the study of comparative jurisprudence

At the University of Karbala – College of Islamic Sciences, the public discussion of master’s student Maha Yahya Kazem Al-Tarifi about her thesis tagged with (methodological rules for the study of comparative jurisprudence – an original study) took place. in the College of Islamic Sciences.

In her thesis, the researcher relied on the comparison between the five approved Islamic schools of thought: the Imami school, the Hanafi school, the Maliki school, the Shafi’i school, and the Hanbali school, through: the original approach, that is, returning all the rules to their origin (that is, their evidence) and relied on mentioning the opinions of senior scholars for each of the five schools of thought. I also mentioned the methodological rules of comparative jurisprudence that are agreed upon and disagreed upon, in addition to the scholars’ approaches to composing comparative jurisprudence with examples for each approach and the weighting of what the evidence favored, i.e., the closest to what the well-known scholars go to, in accordance with the Qur’an, the honorable Sunnah, and other evidence.

The discussion committee consisted of the experienced first professor, Sahib Muhammad Hassan Nassar/University College of Jurisprudence, as chairperson. Associate Professor Dr. Kawakeb Baqir Al-Fadhili/University of Kufa-College of Mixed Education and Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Abbas Mohsen/Karbala University-College of Islamic Sciences participated in its membership and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nazem Al-Mafraji / University of Karbala – College of Islamic Sciences – Member and Supervisor..
