A master's thesis at the College of Islamic Sciences looks at the impact of context in directing grammar methods in the Holy Qur'an

At the Faculty of Islamic Sciences – University of Karbala, a master’s student, Ali Abdul-Amir Habin Al-Abedy, discussed his thesis tagged with (The Effect of Context in Directing Grammar Methods in the Noble Qur’an), at nine o’clock on Tuesday morning, corresponding to 24/8/2021, and at Al-Sadiq Al-Amin Hall in the college .

The thesis aims to try to highlight some of the luminous aspects of linguistic thought, especially among the ancient and modern Arab scholars and others in general, and preceded those ancients in studying the meaning and the impact of context with both sides in directing grammatical methods in the Holy Qur’an and how the connotation of style is in the origin of change and diversity to get out of its original meaning to sub-meanings determined by the context of the case or the place related to the text intended to be processed.

The researcher pointed out in his letter that the methods in the Arabic language are an important task that is not comparable to any other means of denoting meanings, but this expressive means sometimes fails to convey the intended meanings accurately because the meanings are infinite unlike the linguistic words used in the Holy Qur’an to express these meanings.

The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Hamid Abdul Mohsen Kazem Al-Janabi from Babylon University – College of Education for Human Sciences as Chairman, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Falah Rasoul Al-Husseini from Karbala University – College of Education for Human Sciences, and Assistant Professor Dr. Maali Hashem Abu Al-Ma’ali from Karbala University – The College of Islamic Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Muayyad Jassim Muhammad from Karbala University – College of Islamic Sciences as a member and supervisor.
