The workshop, which was attended by Prof. Dr. Nahida Jalil, Assistant Professor Dr. Bushra Hanoun and Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Shallal Moteb, included three axes, namely the Islamic axis, the psychological and educational axis, in addition to the media axis, and it is worth mentioning that the workshop was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Najm Abdul-Hussein Najm and the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Dhargham Al-Moussawi, his scientific and administrative assistants, heads of departments, professors and students of the college who contributed to fruitful discussions, expressing their thanks to the College of Islamic Sciences for its continuous giving.
The workshop concluded with recommendations aimed at activating the family’s role in the field of children’s supervision, guidance and counseling, and the provision of health and psychological assistance by the concerned institutions to those contemplating suicide, in addition to establishing websites on the Internet to provide free advice, treatment and assistance to raise awareness of treatment and prevention methods by specialists in this regard.
