Summary
The research entitled (Image of the Prophet Muhammad in Modern Arabic Artistic Prose – A Study of Selected Models) seeks to study the image drawn by modern Arabic literature of the Noble Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and through three influential and controversial models, Arab and international, which were represented in the book (The Prophet) by Gibran. Khalil Gibran, the play (Muhammad) by Tawfiq al-Hakim, and (The Muhammadan Personality or Solving the Sacred Puzzle) by Maarouf Abdul Ghani al-Rasafi. It represents a realistic dimension in which Tawfiq Al-Hakim summarized the Prophet’s biography with a group of views and chapters further in dealing with the aspect of dialogue in it, and since it represents a reaction to an old French play by Voltaire, although the last models represented a biography of otherness as stated by Al-Rusafi, and this is a product of Marouf Al-Rasafi’s contact with Wahhabi thought Salafi, as well as informing him of the views of orientalists who base their perceptions and opinions on sanctifying the sacred and transcending all lines.
