In cooperation with the House of the Noble Qur’an in the Holy Husayni Shrine, the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala hosted the Qur’anic symposium, which was entitled (The Dialectic of Belief and Confronting Material Thought). within the college.

The Quranic symposium aims to confront materialistic thought through Islamic thought, immunize students from suspicious ideas, develop students’ skills in the art of dialogue, in addition to developing ideas by extending the Islamic curriculum and how to refute the materialistic approach with argument and proof.

The symposium was attended by professors and students of the college and a delegation from the House of the Noble Qur’an of the Holy Shrine of Al-Hussainiya.
