Dr. Muwahib Al-Khatib, a faculty member at Karbala University’s College of Islamic Sciences, has published a book titled “Contemporary Quranic Approaches to Mental Education Methods” by Dar Al-Walaa Publishing House in Beirut, Lebanon.

In her book, the author emphasizes the significance of the intellect, which distinguishes humans from other creatures. She highlights the need for understanding the methods of nurturing, developing, and enhancing the intellect, enabling it to think critically, be creative, acquire knowledge, gain experience, and master skills. This is essential for fulfilling one’s role in life to the fullest.

The author asserts that the value of the intellect is evident in the eyes of the Creator, as it is the means of responsibility and accountability. The Quran, being a guide for human upbringing, contains various educational, developmental, and motivational methods aimed at enriching and stimulating the intellect. The book warns against approaches in life that hinder the intellect and make it blindly follow the beliefs of others.

In this book, the researcher thoroughly examines Quranic verses to extract and analyze these methods in four different sections, providing examples from the verses to enrich the Arabic developmental content for educating future generations amidst the accumulated knowledge of humanity.
