Assistant Lecturer Wiam Ali Khamees from the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala participated with a research paper in the First International Imamate Week Conference organized by the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Abbasid. The paper was presented in the Department of Islamic and Humanitarian Knowledge Affairs, Al-Sadiqeen Center, and the Scholarly and Intellectual Al-Ameed Association, under the title “Imam Mahdi: The Promised Divine Justice.”
The research paper focused on the topic of “Building the Muslim Personality during the Occultation – Philosophy of Awaitment as an Example.” The significance of this research lies in highlighting the fundamental dimensions that enable individuals to maintain righteousness and steadfastness, allowing them to develop and build their character in anticipation and preparation for the holy emergence. The research was divided into two sections. The first section discussed excerpts from the biography of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him) and the reasons for his occultation. The second section examined the impact of the awaitment in shaping the Muslim personality. The conclusion highlighted the important findings of the research, followed by footnotes and a list of sources and references used in the study.
