As part of the continuous education series, the Scientific Promotions Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences in Karbala University organized a training course titled “Scientific Promotions: Criteria and Milestones.” The course took place over three days in the Imam Hussein (AS) Hall and targeted the faculty members of the college.
The course was inaugurated by Dr. Wafa Abbas Fayadh, the Head of the Subsidiary Scientific Promotions at the College of Islamic Sciences. She introduced the concept of scientific promotions, the requirements for submitting them, presented the administrative regulations, covered various milestones, and discussed the contents of official publications. The second session was conducted by Assistant Professor Dr. Aqbal Wafi, a member of the Subsidiary Committee, who focused on the criteria for calculating points, tables, and appendices.
On the second day, the course continued with a session titled “Requirements of Scientific Research,” presented by Professor Dr. Amjad Al-Fadhil. The course was attended by the scientific assistant, Professor Dr. Muslim Al-Asadi, distinguished professors, female professors, postgraduate students, and a number of interested individuals. The course was enriched by numerous observations and questions from the participants.
