The Women’s Affairs Unit, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Al-Tai, organized a celebration and honoring ceremony for female faculty members with authored publications and distinguished and diligent staff members at the college on the occasion of International Women’s Day on the 8th of March.
The ceremony, held under the theme ‘Women: Makers of Willpower,’ included various segments such as the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq and the victims of Gaza. This was followed by a speech from the college dean, highlighting the role of women in society throughout history and emphasizing how Islamic religion has honored and preserved their full rights, asserting that women constitute the entirety of society, not just half of it. Certificates of appreciation and copies of the Noble Quran were then distributed to commend their efforts and recognize their scholarly contributions to the educational institution, with prayers for their success and guidance from Allah.
