In conjunction with the launch by the honorable Prime Minister of the initiative to plant five million trees and palm trees across Iraq, and on the occasion of National Planting Day on March 12th, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences, under the direct supervision of the esteemed President of the University of Karbala and the honorable Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, along with administrative assistants and the head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, initiated a wide-ranging campaign to plant various types of seedlings and flowers for sustainable environment and to increase green spaces.

The importance and benefits of this initiative include air purification, pollution reduction, and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the university campus in general and the college in particular. Several professors and staff members of the college participated in the campaign under the supervision of the responsible person for the agricultural unit at the college.
