The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a scientific seminar on the structural significance in Surah Al-Qadr, held at Al-Sadiq Al-Ameen (PBUH) Hall at the college.
Present at the seminar was Dr. Issam Radi Huson, a lecturer in the Department of Jurisprudence and its Principles, and it was chaired by the Assistant Professor, Dr. Asmaa Qasim Mohammed.
The lecturer discussed the specific structural aspects of the Surah, dividing it into three axes. The first axis dealt with the structural significance in Surah Al-Qadr, containing two sections. The first section discussed the meaning of “Al-Qadr,” which signifies greatness and encompasses various divine decrees. It highlights that on this night, every matter of wisdom is decreed for a whole year, whether it be good or evil. The second axis was about the structural composition, discussing three paragraphs: the subject, predicate, and indirect speech. It elucidated the structural significance of “Al-Qadr” in emphasizing and magnifying. The third axis delved into the structural significance of numbers, comprising two parts: apparent numerical structure and non-apparent numerical structure. The seminar was enriched by discussions and contributions from both professors and students in attendance.
