The Faculty of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, in collaboration with the International Union of Muslim Women/Iraq, organized the seventh edition of the international scientific conference on Lady Fatimah al-Zahraa (peace be upon her). The conference, held under the theme “Al-Zahraa: Kauthar, Benefactor, and the Source of Scholars,” shed light on her biography as a model embodying ideal values for societal construction and confronting various challenges.
Addressing contemporary challenges facing the Islamic community, the conference featured over 70 research papers covering educational, jurisprudential, Quranic, philosophical, narrative, linguistic, and psychological themes.
Held at the university’s auditorium, the conference emphasized Lady Fatimah al-Zahraa’s (peace be upon her) mission and educational role, focusing on her pristine biography and the correct approach to creed and religion to rectify societal deviations. It aimed to promote Islamic culture and justice in all aspects of life and correct prevalent doctrinal misconceptions among different segments of society.
The conference was attended by Professor Dr. Basim Nael Al-Saedi, the President of the University of Karbala, along with his scientific and administrative deputies, and official and religious figures from various Islamic denominations.
