A Faculty Member from the College of Islamic Sciences Publishes a Book on “Structured Rhetoric”
Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Abdul-Nabi, a faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, recently published a book titled “Structured Rhetoric.”
The first edition of the book, published by 4U Publishing House in Baghdad, consists of an introduction and three chapters, spanning 94 pages.
The book focuses on organizing Arabic rhetoric into a comprehensive poetic system that covers all aspects of the discipline, from definitions and categories to purposes and applications. The author sought to encompass all elements of rhetoric in this structured system, which contains 1,107 lines of educational poetry. The work has been praised by eminent scholars in rhetoric from the University of Karbala, including Professor Emeritus Dr. Aboud Joudi Al-Hilli, Dr. Maki Mohi Al-Kilabi, Dr. Dhurgham Karim Al-Moussawi, and Dr. Amjad Hamid Al-Fadhel. Their commendations, in their handwriting, are included in the book.
This poetic system is considered one of the most extensive educational compilations on scientific subjects. The author has numerous other publications in this field, adding to the academic achievements of the College of Islamic Sciences.
