The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, participated in a symposium titled “The Role of Educational Families in Combating Extremist Ideology and Atheistic Thought Trends”, under the guidance of the college’s Dean, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Ta’i.
The event was held in the Local Administration Hall of the province, attended by the Governor of Karbala, members of the Provincial Council, and the Director of Karbala’s Directorate of Education.
The symposium featured lectures by Dr. Dhulfiqar Adel Al-Mousawi and Assist. Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul-Kadhim Al-Kuraity.
The discussion addressed the definition of extremist ideology and atheistic thought, highlighting the differences between them. The symposium also emphasized the role of school administrations and their teaching staff in combating and eradicating these phenomena. Additionally, it proposed organizing awareness and educational sessions in schools to inform students about these issues, in collaboration with their families.
