The College of Islamic Sciences, in collaboration with the Arts Activities Unit and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a special celebration on the occasion of the great victory over ISIS.
The event began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a moment of silence with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in honor of the souls of Iraq’s martyrs who sacrificed their lives for this significant achievement.
The celebration was attended by a large number of faculty members, staff, and students in an atmosphere of pride and patriotism. The college’s walls were adorned with Iraqi flags, symbolizing a deep sense of belonging and national pride.
During the event, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Aboud Al-Taie, and Professor Dr. Bushra Hanoun delivered speeches in which they praised the vital role of the Supreme Religious Authority and its wise fatwa, as well as the heroic sacrifices made by the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces in combating the forces of darkness and terrorism.
The celebration also featured several patriotic poems celebrating love for the homeland and the spirit of victory, delivered by faculty members such as Professor Dr. Amjad Al-Fadel and Assistant Professor Dr. Mashkoor Al-Talqani, along with contributions from students of the Arabic Language Department. These activities added a deeply moving nationalistic spirit that emphasized unity and solidarity among the Iraqi people.
