The College of Islamic Sciences Participates in Organizing the Sixth International Imam Hussain (AS) Conference

The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, in collaboration with the Holy Shrine’s Quran House Department, co-organized the Sixth International Imam Hussain (AS) Conference, aimed at highlighting the profound Quranic heritage of Ahlulbayt (AS).

The conference was held at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS), with the attendance of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, and the participation of elite scholars from Iraq and abroad.

A total of 122 research papers were submitted, covering six academic themes, with sessions held at the College of Islamic Sciences. Scholars from Egypt, Britain, Iran, Lebanon, and Tunisia took part, reinforcing the academic and international significance of the event.

Key Conference Recommendations:

🔹 Approaching the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to recognize the submitted studies as scientific references for postgraduate research.
🔹 Incorporating Imam Ali’s (AS) Quranic contributions into academic curricula.
🔹 Encouraging ongoing research in Islamic manuscripts and fostering scholarly competition in Quranic studies, particularly those related to the heritage of Ahlulbayt (AS).

The closing ceremony took place at the University of Karbala’s Presidency Hall, where distinguished academic and religious figures were honored for their significant contributions to the success and scholarly impact of the conference.
