Abstract

The Quranic text is consider as the main source for the study of rhetoric. A researcher cannot fully understand the principles of rhetoric without consulting and assisting the Qur’anic text. In this study, the researcher selected the Qur’anic text titled “Verses on Corruption in the Holy Qur’an” because of its emphasis on the Qur’an and its relevance to the research topic. This study serves as a cautionary message, providing both a warning and an explanation of the potential outcomes. Its purpose is to impart knowledge and insights for our benefit and to ensure that the conduct of a Muslim individual remains consistently virtuous and morally upright, which is the fundamental objective behind the sending of prophets and the revelation of divine messages. This study consisted of three chapters, with an introduction and conclusion. The first chapter focused on the rhetorical techniques used in the Holy Qur’an to present verses related to corruption. The second chapter examined the structural aspects of these verses, as the arrangement of words in the text plays a crucial role in conveying the true meaning of the Qur’an. Without proper combination with other words, individual vocabulary items in the Qur’an may lose their intended significance, whereas the third chapter was devoted to studying the imagery and rhythm in the verses of the study.
Upon the conclusion of the study, it became evident that the Quranic text possessed a crucial advantage in terms of influence. Specifically, its impact was not solely dependent on the selection of abstract words and vocabulary but also on the use of suggestions and insinuations. This trait endows the style of the Qur’an with its aesthetic appeal and significant power of impact. Due to the additional connotations that arise from it, this endows it with a perpetual existence and credibility throughout history, while expanding the opportunities for intellectual introspection and contemplation within the enigmatic domains of language. The Holy Quran’s variety also shows in its ability to express facts, meanings, and other findings in its verses, As well as other results.
