
On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mujtaba (AS), the grandson of the final Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Rituals Committee at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, held an in-person symposium titled “Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mujtaba (AS): The Ripe Fruit of the Final Prophethood.”
The keynote speaker, Dr. Ahmed Bahauddin, highlighted the profound bond between Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his grandson, Imam Al-Hasan (AS). He referenced Anas bin Malik’s narration: “There was no one more resembling the Prophet (PBUH) than Al-Hasan bin Ali,” emphasizing the noble prophetic legacy that Imam Al-Hasan (AS) carried in his character and conduct.
The lecture also shed light on the high morals and noble virtues inherited by Imam Al-Hasan (AS) from his grandfather, presenting examples from his life that embodied divine and ethical values upheld by the Ahlulbayt (AS).
The symposium concluded with an engaging discussion, where attendees emphasized the importance of commemorating such occasions to draw inspiration from Imam Al-Hasan’s (AS) life and to promote prophetic values in society.
