An Online Seminar at the College of Islamic Sciences Discusses the Role of Imam Ali (PBUH) Despite His Absence from Apparent Rule

The Rituals Committee at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, organized an online seminar titled “The Presence of Imam Ali (PBUH) Despite His Absence from Apparent Rule.” The seminar was delivered by Professor Dr. Amjad Al-Fadel, a specialist in critical methodologies and Islamic thought at the college.

The lecture explored the intellectual dimensions of Imam Ali’s (PBUH) role in various aspects of life, highlighting his contributions to the welfare of the Islamic nation despite being excluded from governance. Dr. Al-Fadel explained that the Imam fulfilled the responsibilities of leadership by guiding and advising people, promoting justice as much as possible, upholding truth, rejecting oppression, spreading knowledge, reviving religious values, and fostering a culture of righteousness.

The speaker also emphasized Imam Ali’s (PBUH) dedication to caring for and supporting believers, even without political authority, reaffirming that he was divinely appointed as the true guide, as explicitly stated in religious texts.
