
The College of Islamic Sciences, in collaboration with the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, organized a memorial ceremony marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH). The event was arranged through the Women’s Affairs Unit in both colleges.
The ceremony was attended by the Administrative Assistant to the University President, Professor Dr. Jasim Aidan Al-Maamouri, along with the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Hussein Al-Taie, and his Administrative Assistant, Dr. Sadiq Abbas Rahi. Also present was the Administrative Assistant of the Dean of the College of Computer Science, Dr. Issam Hamid Abbas, alongside a group of faculty members and students.
Held under the theme “Ali: A Symbol of Humanity”, the event included various elegies, poetry recitations, and a special seminar titled “Imam Ali (PBUH): A Model of Piety and Righteousness.” The discussion highlighted the Imam’s integrity and his commitment to safeguarding the wealth of the Muslim community.
The memorial ceremony witnessed great engagement from the attendees, who emphasized the importance of remembering the legacy of Imam Ali (PBUH) and applying his noble teachings in daily life.
