The College of Islamic Sciences Holds a Training Course on Sustainable Development Indicators and Their Impact on University Students’ Lives

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid, President of the University of Karbala, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, the Career Development and Employment Unit organized a training course titled “Sustainable Development Indicators and Their Impact on University Students’ Lives.” The course lasted three days and included the participation of a group of specialized professors.

The lecturers were:
• Dr. Akram Hassan Mohsen
• Dr. Saleem Hussein
• Dr. Ali Shakir

The course covered several themes focusing on the Islamic, historical, and geographical dimensions of sustainable development, and how these indicators influence university students’ lives in terms of thought, behavior, and social awareness.

The training session saw the attendance and active participation of a number of students, who engaged productively with the presented topics, contributing to the promotion of awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the role of university students in achieving them within both academic and social contexts.

This course is part of a series of training programs organized by the college to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to build a more conscious and sustainable future.
