
The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, in cooperation with the College of Ma‘arif at the University of Sistan and Baluchestan, held a scholarly cultural seminar titled “Wife’s Inheritance Between Jurisprudence and Law.” The event came as part of the ongoing academic collaboration programs between the two universities.
The seminar featured a lecture by Prof. Ihsan Samani, Dean of the College of Law and Islamic Knowledge at the University of Sistan and Baluchestan, who presented an analytical reading of inheritance rulings from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence.
From the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khudair Mukheef delivered a lecture addressing the legal aspects related to a wife’s inheritance within current legislation.
During the session, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mawahib Saleh Mahdi, Head of the Cultural Activity Unit and liaison officer, reviewed several articles of the academic and cultural memorandum of understanding signed between the two universities, emphasizing the importance of enhancing academic cooperation and exchanging scientific and cultural expertise.
The seminar was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Abboud Al-Tai, Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, along with department heads and a number of students. Their discussions and inquiries enriched the session and contributed to a deeper understanding of the topic from both jurisprudential and legal perspectives.
