The College of Islamic Sciences organized an educational trip for male and female dormitory students in cooperation with the Al-Hussaini Holy Shrine, as part of its programs aimed at strengthening students’ intellectual and spiritual development.
The trip included a visit to the holy shrine of Imam Hussein ibn Ali (peace be upon him), as well as exploring the religious and historical landmarks within the shrine’s complex. Students also took an introductory tour of several departments of the shrine to learn about the nature of their work and the diverse services provided to visitors.
The program also included an iftar meal at the guesthouse of the Al-Hussaini Holy Shrine, in a spiritual and fraternal atmosphere that reflected the strong connection between the academic institution and the holy shrines.
The dormitory students were accompanied by Dr. Ali Jaafar, a faculty member at the college, while the female students were accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Asmaa Qasim Mohammed, Head of the Department of Fiqh and Its Principles. They emphasized the importance of such activities in developing religious and cultural awareness and in reinforcing students’ moral values.
At the conclusion of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the college deanship and the Al-Hussaini Holy Shrine for this initiative, which enriched their academic and spiritual experience before returning to the dormitories.
