Under the patronage of the President of Karbala University, Prof. Bassem Khalil Al-Saidi, and under the supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Najm Abdul-Hussein Negm, and with the participation and cooperation of the Continuing Education Center – the Presidency of the University, the College of Islamic Sciences held a workshop entitled (Drug abuse and stimulants, causes and treatment) at ten o’clock in the morning and at the Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) hall in the college.
The College of Islamic Sciences discusses drug and stimulant abuse and looks for causes and treatment
The workshop, which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Safaa Hussein Latif and Assistant Professor Dr. Hazem Allawi Obaid, dealt with several axes related to the definition of drugs and stimulants, their types, causes of abuse, risks and ways to combat them.
And educating students to face this danger by adhering to the moral and religious system to avoid its health, psychological and social effects on the individual and society.
