The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala discussed the rhetorical techniques in the encyclopedia "Tawqiat al-Imam al-Mahdi" by Mohammad Taqi Akbar

A discussion of the Master’s thesis entitled “Rhetorical Argumentation Techniques in the Encyclopedia of Imam Mahdi’s Signatures by Mohammad Taqi Akbar” was held in the Department of Arabic Language, College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala on Thursday, May 4, 3023, in the Imam Hussein Hall.

The researcher in her thesis pointed out that the efforts of Imam Mahdi, the owner of the era, in the religious, cultural, and political fields were aimed at making Islam a desired position in the legislative role that Allah has honored him with to manage the affairs of the nation and lead the Mahdist state. She also explained that Imam Mahdi’s signatures are a cultural resource that encompassed all aspects of human life with multiple indicative data, including beliefs, religious and jurisprudential laws, political issues, as well as social judgments and directions, to elevate the nation to cultural and civilizational progress and keep them away from misguidance, ignorance, and indulgence in pleasures and distractions.

The thesis covered some examples of Mahdist signatures that addressed these topics.

The examination committee was composed of Dr. Amjad Hamid Abdullah from the University of Karbala, College of Islamic Sciences, as the chairman, Dr. Ali Hussaini Shalaka from the University of Babylon, College of Islamic Sciences, as a member, Dr. Osama Mohammed Mahdi from the University of Karbala, College of Islamic Sciences, as a member, and Dr. Muslim Malik Al-Asadi from the University of Karbala, College of Islamic Sciences, as a member and supervisor. The researcher received an excellent evaluation.
