A faculty member from the College of Islamic Sciences participated in a doctoral thesis defense at the University of Kufa

As part of the collaborative scientific and academic cooperation among Iraqi universities, Dr. Nahida Jalil Al-Ghalbi, a faculty member from the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, participated as a committee member in the defense of a doctoral thesis at the College of Jurisprudence at the University of Kufa.

The thesis was titled “The Influence of Custom in Determining the Subjects of Legal Rulings, their Correlatives, and Contemporary Applications.”

The defense committee consisted of Dr. Hadi Hussein Al-Garaawi as a member, Dr. Nahida Jalil Al-Ghalbi as a member, Dr. Muhanad Mustafa Jamaluddin as a member, Dr. Ammar Mohsin Kazem as a member, Dr. Saad Jasim Laftha as a member, and Dr. Salah Abdul Hussein Al-Mansouri as the supervisor.

After an extensive scientific discussion regarding the impact of custom on contemporary jurisprudential issues related to the subject matter, the thesis was awarded a very good rating.
