The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala holds a scientific symposium on the Quranic and ethical approach of Allama Tabatabai

An international scientific symposium was organized in the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, in cooperation with the Union of Iraqi Academics, the Holy Karbala branch, and the Supreme Council of Islamic Wisdom in Iran. 5/2023 and at the hall of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in the college.

Ayatollah Sayyid Mujtaba Al-Husseini, the lecturer in the Department of Jurisprudence and its Principles, Professor Dr. Nahida Jalil Abdul Hassan Al-Ghalbi, the head of the Department of Quranic Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Nazim Al-Mafarji, the arguments of Islam and Muslims, Dr. Hassan Mualimi, and the lecturer in the Department of Quranic Studies, Dr. Salem Gary Hadi
The symposium was taught by a lecturer in the Department of Arabic Language, Assistant Professor Dr. Mashkour Al-Talqani.

The symposium came as a prelude to a scientific conference on Mr. Muhammad Hussein Al-Tabatabai and his efforts in interpretation in his book Al-Mizan, and it included reading a verse from the Holy Quran recited by the reader Haidar Muhammad Al-Zamil, then reading Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq and reading the Iraqi national anthem, and after that came the speech of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Durgham Al-Musawi, in which he indicated the importance of holding such scientific seminars in order to introduce the philosophical outputs and intellectual views of Allama Sayyid Tabataba’i and their effective impact on enriching human thought in these two fields over decades, and a documentary film was shown on the life of Sayyid Allama Tabataba’i.

The symposium was enriched by the discussions of the attendees, and the symposium came out with recommendations, including the holding of a similar symposium on Allama Tabataba’i in Iran under the auspices of the office of Sayyid Khamenei and the Supreme Islamic Council of Wisdom, and that research from all sciences be concerned only with the interpretation of the balance of Allama Tabataba’i, in addition to holding a global conference in Karbala on the joint Allama Tabataba’i Between the Academics Union in Karbala, the College of Islamic Sciences, the University of Karbala, and the Supreme Council of Wisdom in Iran, and that the Syndicate undertake to print the most important research in a book in accordance with international standards for publication, with the need to revive the legacy of Allama Tabatabai in all his books through holding scientific seminars and public workshops.

At the end of the symposium, certificates of appreciation, books of thanks and shields were distributed to the participants in the symposium, in appreciation of the research efforts by the College of Islamic Sciences and the Iraqi Academics Union.
