The Arabic Language Department at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, held a new session as part of its annual meetings at the beginning of each academic year. The session was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Hameed Shahab, the head of the Arabic Language Department, and attended by the department’s academic staff. The meeting, which took place on Sunday, September 24, 2023, addressed various scientific and administrative topics related to the teaching process within the department.
Discussions during the meeting covered a range of subjects, including the communication of specific instructions for the start of the new academic year. There was a strong emphasis on fostering collaboration among the educational family within the department to enhance academic and ethical standards for students. Other topics included preparations for welcoming first-year students, curriculum alignment, focusing on subject material to enrich academic outcomes, implementing the credit hour system, monitoring student attendance, addressing any instances of absence, and tracking the progress of research projects for fourth-year students. The meeting emphasized the necessity of producing an exemplary student equipped with all the aspects needed to face the challenges of the era.
