The College of Islamic Sciences organizes the First Art Exhibition to support women

Under the patronage of the President of Karbala University, Professor Dr. Basim Nile Al-Saeedi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Taie, the Women Empowerment Unit in the college organized the First Art Exhibition to support women.

The idea of organizing the exhibition was based on the directives of the Women’s Affairs Department in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The exhibition was inaugurated by the scientific and administrative assistants, with the participation of faculty members and students from all departments of the college.

Dr. Alaa Abdul Kadhim Al-Kariti, the head of the Women Empowerment Unit in the college, stated that the aim of the exhibition is to enhance the supporting role of Iraqi women and their active presence in society. The exhibition included informative posters rejecting injustice, violence, and harassment against women. It also featured artistic paintings that showcased the courage of women and their role in society, as well as artworks highlighting the role of Islamic law in safeguarding women’s rights, in addition to other handicrafts.
