The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a scientific seminar on family disintegration, focusing on its causes, solutions, and treatments. The seminar was presented by Professor Dr. Amjad Hameed Al-Fadhil, with the session chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Intithar Jawad Kazem.

The seminar highlighted the conceptual framework of the meaning of family, the reason for its naming, the meaning of the head of the family, and the concept of family disintegration, all derived from the Holy Quran.

Additionally, it covered preventive measures against family disintegration, including the concept of guardianship in general and paternal guardianship within the family. It also discussed the reasons behind family disintegration, encompassing psychological, social, economic factors, and external influences. The seminar emphasized the treatment of family disintegration, which includes repentance, forgiveness, religious awareness, encouragement towards rewards, and deterrence from punishment.
