Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Taie, the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education held its First Student Scientific Conference for fourth-year undergraduate students, both in the morning and evening sessions. The conference was titled “Islamic Sciences Between Tradition and Renewal and Their Impact on Contemporary Reality” and was held under the motto “The Quran: A Book of Guidance and a Way of Life” in the Imam Hussein (PBUH) Hall at the faculty.
The conference discussed 88 research papers across various themes, including Quranic Sciences and Tafsir, the Language and Literature of the Quran, Fiqh and its Principles, Islamic Creed and Philosophy, the History of Quranic Studies, Quranic Sciences Teaching Methods, and Legal and Jurisprudential Studies.
The conference aimed to encourage students to put forth their best efforts in completing their graduation research projects and to advance the scientific level of fourth-year students by promoting innovation in their research writing. It also sought to standardize the scientific methodology in research writing and to document research projects of significant importance in their topics and academic levels, fulfilling the requirements for programmatic accreditation related to joint research between professors and students.
