The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala held an online course on the Uprising of Imam Hussain (A.S.) as reflected in the Holy Quran.

The course was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Mujib Saad and Dr. Salem Jari, and was moderated by Lecturer Assistant Imad Abdul Reda.

The course focused on a significant and fundamental doctrinal topic within Islamic belief: the status of Imam Hussain (A.S.) in the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah.

It highlighted the cosmic and earthly impact of Imam Hussain’s martyrdom, discussing how all of creation mourned for him. The course also addressed the phenomenon of the redness in the sky as a sign of mourning for Imam Hussain (A.S.), distinguishing it from the typical redness seen at sunset and sunrise.
