Department of Quranic Studies and Islamic Education Holds Seminar on the Quran’s Approach to Countering Intellectual Extremism

The Department of Quranic Studies and Islamic Education at the College of Islamic Sciences hosted a seminar titled “The Quran’s Approach to Countering Intellectual Extremism” in the Hassan Nasrallah Hall (Continuing Education). Dr. Mawahib Mahdi Sahib led the seminar, aiming to explore the Quranic concept of extremism, its causes, effects, types, and signs of ideological intolerance.

The session emphasized the Quran’s systematic methods for addressing and preventing intellectual extremism, showcasing practical examples. It concluded that extremism develops in stages, making early intervention easier. The Quran presents a clear plan to combat this by clarifying its forms, providing illustrative examples, and concluding with effective strategies for addressing it.
