In his thesis, the researcher used the descriptive method in proposing and discussing the views of Orientalists, as well as the critical approach, which is the main method in the study. The study aims to achieve two purposes, one of which is to accurately reveal the features of this important topic, and the second is for this study to be a prelude to developing other types of studies on the subject. The researcher came out with a set of results, including that there are attempts to distort the image of Islam in general and the front, especially in the eyes of Western society, and its purpose was to prevent the Islamic tide at the expense of the Christian religion. The Imami doctrine has imposed itself on the scientific scene in spite of the attempts to neglect it.
The thesis was approved, and the student obtained a master’s degree in Qur’anic studies.
