A PhD dissertation defense took place at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, in the Arabic Language Department on Imam Hussein Hall. The dissertation, titled “Theses and Dissertations in Iraqi Universities Titled Quranic Grammar up to 2021: A Descriptive and Critical Study,” was presented by the student Ahmad Shihab Hamad Yusuf.
The dissertation aimed to study university theses on Quranic grammar. The research focused on two main aspects: the first examined theoretical issues and concepts of Quranic grammar, while the second explored specific Quranic grammatical topics. The study sought to survey and analyze researchers’ contributions and perspectives on these grammatical issues based on Quranic evidence and Quranic grammar theory.
Following an in-depth academic discussion, the dissertation was approved with a grade of “Very Good.”
