The Sub-Unit for Scientific Promotions at the College of Islamic Sciences, under the leadership of Professor Dr. Wafa Abbas Fayyad and with the membership of Professor Dr. Iqbal Wafi Najm and Professor Dr. Hamid Jassim Aboud, organized a training course titled “Scientific Promotions: Guidelines and Procedures” over three consecutive days in the Imam Hussain (AS) Hall.

The course was divided into several key topics:

• The first topic covered the guidelines, documents, and administrative regulations.
• The second topic discussed the requirements for scientific journals.
• The third focused on the rules for calculating points, tables, and appendices.

The course aimed to shed light on the various regulations and procedures followed in promoting scientific qualifications and the stages involved in the process, as well as the organizations that benefit from these promotions. This course was part of the continuous training programs offered by the College’s Continuing Education Unit.
