The Islamic Rituals Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences organized a cultural event to commemorate the birth of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). The event was held in collaboration with the departments of Fiqh and Its Principles and Quranic Sciences, with the participation of the Volunteer Development and Advancement Team.
The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Quran, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in tribute to the souls of the martyrs. The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Aboud Al-Tai, delivered a welcoming speech, praising the elevated status and exemplary role of Sayyida Fatima (peace be upon her) in Islam.
The event also featured a cultural video showcasing the lofty status of Sayyida Fatima (peace be upon her) and her significant position. Dr. Haidar Al-Asadi presented a scholarly lecture titled “The Epistemological Value of Fatima’s (peace be upon her) Personality: A Case Study of Her Birth,” in which he discussed the intellectual and knowledge-based dimensions of her magnificent personality.
The event concluded with student Yas reciting poetry in praise of Sayyida Fatima (peace be upon her) amidst a spiritual and loving atmosphere, with blessed gifts distributed in her noble name.
