The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala organized an online workshop titled “Spiritual Growth for Families in the Month of Rajab: Worship as a Model,” presented by Mr. Muslim Hussein Aboud Al-Yasari, a faculty member.
The workshop focused on the significance of the blessed month of Rajab, highlighting its special rituals and acts of worship as one of the sacred months with a high status in Islam. It emphasized the role of these practices in strengthening the spiritual values of Muslim families and fostering a deeper connection with religious heritage.
The presenter explained that Rajab serves as an essential preparatory period for Ramadan, offering an opportunity for believers to draw closer to Allah through worship and supplication. He also underscored the greatness of this month in Islam, portraying it as an introduction to Laylat al-Qadr, during which destinies and provisions are decreed. The workshop encouraged participants to seize this month to enhance their spirituality and adherence to religious values, recognizing its immense blessings.
