Abstract
The study aims to explain the Qur’anic approaches to proving the Islamic doctrine as stated by the Imami Shiite interpreters, such as the innate and rational approach and other approaches. The research also sought to reveal the most important interpretive approaches that the Imami interpreters used to prove the doctrine in their interpretive books, such as the transmissional and rational approach.
The study was able – according to human capacity – to show the real and important role of the Qur’anic and narrative texts in proving beliefs, and this is in contrast to the prevailing approach among theologians. When you review their words, you will find that they rely entirely on reason in establishing the doctrinal system, and therefore, the researcher tries to research with the tools he possessed to highlight the impact of the Quranic and narrative texts and their explanation in proving the correct and true beliefs
The problem of the research centered around the fact that the Imami theologians have limited the way to access to the doctrine through rational evidence only. Is it possible to reach it through the narrational evidence represented by the Holy Qur’an and the Noble Prophet’s Sunnah? And prove the opposite of what they found? Or it is not possible.
The research used; Analytical and descriptive methodologies in answering the research problem.
The most prominent key points covered in the research were as follows:
1- Qur’anic approaches and their impact on proving the doctrine.
2- The emergence of interpretation and doctrine sciences, the approach of Imami interpreters, and their importance in proving the doctrine.
3 – Proving the doctrine in the Holy Qur’an according to Imami interpreters.
The most prominent findings of the research are:
1- The Holy Qur’an emploies a number of methods to prove doctrine, such as the innate, rational, and anecdotal method.
2 – Imami interpreters tries to prove the Islamic doctrine through traditional and rational interpretive approaches.
