The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala held a scientific symposium titled “Academic Specializations and Their Compatibility with the Job Market – The College of Islamic Sciences as a Model.” The event was presented by faculty member and liaison officer, Professor Dr. Nahida Jalil Al-Ghalibi.

The symposium aimed to raise students’ awareness about the importance of choosing specializations that align with job market demands, enhancing both their academic and practical skills to ensure a successful professional future. It also highlighted the significance of communication with government institutions, businesses, and the holy shrines to improve graduates’ job opportunities.

Dr. Al-Ghalibi emphasized the need to shift from the traditional mindset of waiting for centralized employment to entrepreneurial thinking. She encouraged students to create small projects based on innovative and cohesive ideas. Additionally, the symposium covered CV writing techniques and essential tips for graduates when applying for jobs or pursuing postgraduate studies, contributing to their academic and career advancement.
