At the College of Islamic Sciences – University of Karbala, a master’s thesis entitled (Short Words in Nahj Al-Balaghah for the Commander of the Faithful – peace be upon him – an Hajj study) was discussed by the student Shamam Sadiq Zayer.
The public discussion took place at exactly nine o’clock on Wednesday 21/4/2021 at the Al-Sadiq Al-Amin Hall in the College of Islamic Sciences
This study is considered a second episode of the cycle of Hajj studies in Nahj al-Balaghah and its material, the third chapter of the approach, because of the pilgrimage energy in the words of Imam Ali (PBUH), aiming through it to win over and convince the recipient, and thus change an idea or belief in his perception, with a sound. And all of this by relying on language means and mechanisms.
The study was distinguished by its analytical rhetorical style and its statement of the argumentative power in words. One of the most prominent findings of the study: The purposes that the pilgrims performed in the words are indicative of ethical, religious and health issues whose primary purpose is to correct the path of the individual and thus reform society.
The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Anwar Saeed Jawad / University of Baghdad – College of Islamic Sciences – as Chairman, Assistant Professor Dr.: Kazem Jassim Mansour / University of Babylon – College of Arts – as a member, and Assistant Professor Dr.: Nablus Salal Hayul / University of Karbala – College of Islamic Sciences – Member and Assistant Professor Dr.: Jasim Abdul Wahid Rahi / University of Karbala – College of Islamic Sciences – as a member and supervisor.
