The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, represented by the Continuing Education Unit and the Scientific Unit, participated in organizing a joint workshop with the Oil Products Distribution Company – Euphrates Middle Distribution Authority (Karbala Branch), addressing the topic: “Electronic Payment Operations in Fuel Filling Stations.”

The workshop was held in the Imam Hussein (A.S.) Hall within the college and was presented by Mr. Ali Akram Razzaq and Mr. Hassan Abdul Hassan Ali. The session highlighted the importance of transitioning to electronic payment systems at fuel stations as part of the government’s efforts to implement this mechanism across its service institutions, particularly within the Ministry of Oil and its affiliates.

The speakers emphasized that the electronic payment system will be officially implemented starting from the beginning of June. They also underscored the significance of this transition in facilitating services and reducing cash-based transactions, especially in institutions that directly interact with citizens from various social groups.
