Dr. Faiza Al-Moussawi, from the Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, issued a book on textual coherence in the Holy Qur’an – an applied textual study in Surat Al-Hawamim.
The 501-page book included four practical chapters, preceded by a theoretical preface, which included three main themes: the science of the text and its material, textual cohesion, and the seven surahs of Hawamim. In the means of phonemic coherence, and the last fourth was in the means of semantic coherence.
The book, which was issued by Dar Al-Nabigha for Publishing and Distribution in Tanta / Egypt, aims to identify the means of textual coherence in the verses and surahs of the Noble Qur’an. He deserves to stand with him, and to show his manifestations, for these surahs are among the Meccan surahs, which were known for the rhetorical and communicative style, and the verses they contain are specialized in proving issues of monotheism, prophecy and resurrection. I subscribed to its readings, as it begins with the two syllable letters (hm), which are the salient feature and the general address of these surahs.
