On Sunday, 4/7/2021, the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala hosted Dr. Ali Al-Hakim to deliver a lecture entitled (The Perfect Man and His Opponents: The Dialectics of Conflict and Integration), presented by the lecturer in the Qur’anic Studies Department, Dr. Ahmed Gayed, and attended by a group of college professors and students.
He pointed out in his lecture that the perfect human is the one who has reached the pinnacle of all human values and in all human fields. We must adhere to all values simultaneously. And if we do not reach the stage of a complete human being, then no less than that we reach the stage of a balanced human being, and then we will be in the form of a truly Muslim human being, and in all fields.
He added that knowing the perfect human being, or exemplary, in the eyes of Islam is obligatory for us Muslims, because the perfect human is the example, role model, and example. And Islam wants to make the perfect man – and to reach our human perfection through Islamic education and education
The Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Dhurgham Al-Mousawi, received Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Hakim in his office as one of the scholars and thinkers in the field of Islamic philosophy.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Al-Hakim was born in Baghdad and completed his seminary studies in Iran and then moved to Europe. He has a large number of publications and research published in various languages: German, Persian, Arabic and English. He studied at the Norwegian University of Oslo and the University of Isfahan in Iran in addition to the British Middlesex University.
