Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences Participates in Solidarity Stand at University of Karbala to Commemorate Yazidi Genocide Victims

The Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hussein Aboud Al-Taie, took part in a solidarity stand organized by the university to commemorate the victims of the Yazidi genocide and other affected Iraqi communities.

The event was held in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, along with the administrative and academic vice presidents, several college deans, faculty members, and staff. The stand reflected a unified expression of solidarity with the victims of this humanitarian tragedy.

The gathering also served as a condemnation of the heinous crimes committed by terrorist groups, a call for justice, and a demand for accountability and reparation for the victims and their families.

It is worth noting that in 2014, the ISIS terrorist organization perpetrated acts of genocide against the Yazidi community in the Sinjar district, resulting in the mass killing and abduction of thousands of women and children—atrocities that continue to leave a deep mark on Iraq’s collective memory.
