Department of Quranic Studies
Introductory Information
The Department of Quranic Studies was established within the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in 2008 as the main Department on which the College is based. The aim of the Department is to work on creating educational and scientific staff specialized in Quranic studies to supplement secondary schools in the country. It also aims to prepare a staff capable of continuing to work in scientific institutions, research centres and Islamic studies for the purpose of reviving the Islamic and cultural heritage of the nation and keeping pace with the march of the contemporary world. It prepares, in addition, a qualified staff for the purpose of pursuing postgraduate studies in the field of Islamic law. In view of the sanctity of the province of Karbala, the Department participated in most religious and scientific forums held in the province, in order to build a country replete with pride, piety and welfare.
